Protect, administer and maximize the value of musical works
Dajah exists to help African creators and rights holders protect, administer and maximize the value of their musical works through world-class publishing and rights administration. We do this by treating every composition as the commercial asset it legally is — registered, tracked and monetized the way a major publisher would handle it.
The problem is rarely talent. It's administration.
Most creators never see a full picture of what they're owed — not because there isn't money flowing, but because the infrastructure to collect it properly was never put in place. None of these are talent problems. Dajah exists to solve them.
Most creators:
- —never register their works correctly, or at all
- —don't fully understand what "publishing" actually means
- —lose royalties they're legally owed simply because no one is collecting them
- —don't know which organization, if any, is collecting their money
- —submit incomplete or inconsistent metadata, which breaks royalty matching before it starts
- —don't understand the difference between owning a copyright and being paid for one
The principles we're built around
Every songwriter deserves to be paid for what they wrote.
Every composition deserves proper administration, not just an upload.
Every copyright has value, and that value compounds when it's managed well.
Transparency builds trust — and trust is what keeps a catalogue with us long after the first contract ends.
Long-term partnerships create more value than one-off transactions.
We are not a platform that uploads music and waits
Rights management across every layer
We manage composition, performance, mechanical, master and neighboring rights — across every territory they generate income in.
Active royalty collection
Registration, metadata, ownership documentation, PRO and CMO coordination. We collect royalties actively, not passively.
Long-term catalogue value
We build catalogue value for the long term. Distribution is one part of that process — rights administration is the whole.
